Derwent View Cottage is a 4 star, newly built, one bedroom self-catering holiday cottage set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the North Pennines. It is a lovely retreat for a single person or couple wishing to relax and absorb the unspoilt Northumberland countryside whilst being within easy reach of local attractions. We are situated on the edge of a working Northumberland dairy farm and just minutes from the Derwent reservoir.

This lovely self-catering cottage provides modern, well-equipped, open plan living. In the long summer evenings, relax with a barbeque and enjoy unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside from patio decking. As the nights draw in, sit back and unwind in front of a cosy wood burning fire. The detached cottage includes a double bedroom, bathroom with over bath shower and private parking on gravel. It’s an ideal base for a relaxing break and outdoor activities.
Located just off the A68 we are ideally situated for visiting local attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall, historic Blanchland and Roman Corbridge. We are also within easy reach of Hexham, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Durham City. Derwent View Cottage is an ideal retreat for walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, artists, golfers, fishermen and other water sports fans or those simply looking for est and relaxation in a tranquil, idyllic setting that is the North Pennines.
